As this year comes to a screeching halt, I sit here asking myself how this could possibly be? I know they say as we age time seems to go faster but this feels like warp speed. I guess I should just be happy I’m still here and thankful for all my blessings. One of my biggest blessings, my co author who balances out our site for women of all ages.
We have both poured out our hearts over various topics. We try to cover topics that are relevant to many but also ones that emanate from within ourselves. We may be decades apart and have different experiences but we share more things than not. Funny how that works! Let’s take a quick peek at 2025.
If you’re looking for any posts you might’ve missed in 2025, be sure to click each month title!
We covered LOVE languages in these two posts. All I can say about January was that it started off with lot’s of love for me. It has now been a year since the arrival of my two newest grandchildren. Can’t believe these two little darlings are going to be turning one.
MARCH-Deb
Looks like we skipped the month of the Irish! Pretty sure I got out of dodge and headed South. Based upon my phone records it appears it was to Naples and then on to Abaco Island…. so wish I were there now!! Winters are way to look in NE!
APRIL-Deb
Ah… the post on forgiveness. How are we all doing with that? Have you had to forgive lately or ask for forgiveness yourself? I have to report, been pretty forgiving lately and have had little forgiveness to ask for! whew!!
MAY-Deb
Forgiveness led its way to the Gravity of Motherhood in the month of May. And the gravity is just as intense now as it was then… lol I’m sure both my daughters can relate to this post now more than ever. Imagine the depth of gravity knowing you are carrying the world’s Savior!
JUNE– Deb
This month we explored health and wellness. What a journey that was. It was sure loaded with lots of information. My personal journey for the remainder of 2025 was a challenge with a reoccurring kidney stone attack and folliculitis. As we said in the post, you can’t take your health for grant it. Praying I have put both of those to bed once and for all…. But I still can’t say enough about the Holistic American Health Academy-it’s been a life saver in so many ways.

JULY-Nat
We spent the best month of the year talking about some of our best relationships…friendships, of course. As I read back to that piece, I love the references to the different versions of ourselves our friends see us through. Especially when I go home for the holidays, my heart is filled spending time with my hometown friends of more than a decade. I also feel extremely grateful for all my time spent this year connecting, reconnecting, and growing my friendships from college and newer parts of my life whether that’s work, new interests, new city, etc.
AUGUST-Nat
Sparked by our shared binge watch of Ginny & Georgia, August’s topic we explored some of the darker parts of mental health. Self work is an ever continuous journey. On my January 2026 To-Dos is a revisit of Robert Jackman’s Healing Your Inner Child.
SEPTEMBER -Nat
I took a hiatus in September. My co-author wrote a deep response and reflection after the death of Charlie Kirk. I struggled to put out something in an eloquent and timely manner. As I look back in my drafts, I find this blip I wrote of my greatest concern: When I heard the news of Charlie Kirk’s murder, I was disturbed. Regardless of differences in political affiliation, I feel his death is frightening to any of us who participate in the political process in any capacity. I say this not to condone any political violence, however there is an anticipated risk that those who assume authority take. Charlie Kirk did not hold elected office, he was not employed by any government agency. At the end of the day, he was an outspoken man. Justified or not, I can make more sense of attacks on those who actually hold authority. Political violence against a citizen…the thought itself feels like a contradiction, or at least it should in this country. Where do we draw distinctions between influence, power, and authority? When did we pervert our perception of “justified”?
OCTOBER-Nat
I’m sure the presence of AI will continue to grow exponentially as well as my distaste for it. Maybe I should be more optimistic. I did use for it for this little celebratory image!
NOVEMBER-Nat
Oddly enough, maybe my favorite post was the one written out of the most dissatisfaction at the time regarding our global affairs. I feel very grateful for my co-author, all of our conversations, and this space to be able to share my thoughts, rants, feelings, and many more. Wishing for peace in the new year on the micro, macro, and every level in between.
OUTRO
When looking back over the year what stood out was that all content although different in subject nature did involve a common theme of LOVE. Whether it be the love of our family, partner, fellowman or country LOVE was somehow connected. “Corinthians 13:4-7 provides a detailed description of love’s attributes, stating that love is patient, kind, and forgiving. It does not envy or boast and is not self-seeking. If all actions were implemented with this in mind, wouldn’t our relationships, businesses and governments be more effective and fulfilling?
The highest form of LOVE is known as Agape, characterized by unconditional and selfless affection. This LOVE is surely demonstrated by lots of individuals as I have witnessed by my own family, friends, and countless veterans. Adopting an awareness of daily execution of this kind of LOVE would be a great New Years Resolution. Instead of all those “self” focused resolutions why don’t we all try a little more selflessness… Make 2026 about performing Agape LOVE which takes root in KINDNESS of all forms. That’s where I’m headed and I hope you all have a blessed and Love filled New Year.
